Our Team

David Young - Principal

David Young has been in the Minneapolis sheet metal and roofing business for over 20 years. He is an experienced and knowledgeable owner who has been involved in the industry from project manager to vice president and now president and owner.

He has a comprehensive background in estimating and project management of all types of architectural metal panels. He has been a team leader in estimating, value engineering, submittal review, scheduling, contract review and close-out procedures.

Kenny Pawelk – Vice President

Kenny’s role at Nordstrom Metal is to assist our estimating department, schedule our field crews and to manage our projects to ensure they are on time and on budget.

He has over 15 years of field experience from installing composite metal wall panels to various other types of metal wall panel systems, roof edge copings, standing seam roof systems and other kinds of metal systems.

Mike Quinn – Estimator

Mikes resume includes over 30 years of experience in construction as well as the metal panel industry. He started out as a drafter, continuing into estimating and project managing. He has worked very closely with field personnel and has a wide range of knowledge in the construction industry as well as experience in manufacturing metal products.

Mikes role at Nordstrom Metal is to estimate projects and assist the field making sure the project runs smoothly from start to finish.

Paul O’Neill – Estimator

Paul’s experience includes a variety of construction trades including, most recently, working as a field foreman for Nordstrom Metal. Paul’s field experience has proven to be extremely valuable when estimating projects.

Paul’s role at Nordstrom Metal is to estimate projects and once we are awarded the project to assist the field team so a well-coordinated and successful project is realized.

Ross Kangas - Accounting

Ross’s roll at Nordstrom Metal is to manage Nordstrom Metal financials. He is responsible for accounts receivable as well as accounts payable, financial forecasting and job costing reports. Ross has his bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Hunter Young - Shop Foreman

Hunter’s job at Nordstrom Metal is to run the roll forming equipment, along with the shear and brake as well as coordinating deliveries.

Savannah Mattila – Office Admin

Savannah’s role at Nordstrom Metal is to assist all project managers.

Nikita Young McEleney - Office Admin

Nikita’s role at Nordstrom Metal is to assist all project managers.
